Adam AAA balances combine precision weighing technology with modern processing software to provide the laboratory user with a reliable weighing instrument incorporating all of the features required for efficient analytical work.

AAA are available in two different versions AAA-L with motorised internal calibration weight and AAA-LE with manual external calibration via the keypad. The AAA-L balance will also calibrate automatically when the temperature changes in excess of a preset amount.

The GLP compliant software package enables print out of full calibration details, providing documentation to mark the audit trail. Weighing data can be transmitted to a computer or printer and the balance can be controlled using commands from a PC via a standard RS232C interface.

There are seven selectable weighing units in every AAA balance (mg, g, ct, GN, mo, oz, dwt). For working in an unstable environment digital filters and suppression of the last digit on the display optimise response time and speed up weighing operations. Features include parts counting and percentage weighing.

AMB Moisture Balances

The AMB moisture balance is a precision device for the determination of moisture content in small samples of materials by drying the sample with halogen heaters.

AMB moisture balances provide a rapid and accurate method for moisture determination and dry weight analysis of a wide range of products and materials. In research work, as well as in manufacturing and quality control applications it is essential to be able to determine moisture content simply and reliably.

AMB moisture balances provide moisture content data as a percentage of initial mass or of the residual dry mass.

The operator sets the drying mode using one of the 7 preset modes and test temperature and time.The balances can also be set up to display percentage solid content.

A suitable sample of the product is placed inside the drying chamber, test parameters are entered via the keypad and the analysis is started with a simple key press. Two quartz halogen heaters provide constant, even drying of the sample at a temperature pre-selected by the operator. The advanced software closely monitors the temperature in the drying chamber and maintains it to within 1°C of the chosen setting.Memory for the temperature correction of up to 9 types of products can be user programmed.

As the analysis progresses the balance displays the current status, in accordance with the chosen parameters, keeping the operator updated on each stage of the process. The analysis will automatically terminate either when drying is complete and the dry weight is stable, or after a fixed time specified by the operator. The final analysis result is shown on the large LED display and the last drying procedure will be stored.

At the end of the analysis all relevant data concerning initial mass, residual mass, test parameters and results can be sent to a printer or PC via an RS-232 interface. When the moisture balance is connected to a PC the optional data acquisition software allows the operator to produce a graph plotting results against time, providing valuable information on speed of drying and confirmation of dry weight stability. Results of individual tests can be stored in the computer memory for subsequent comparison.

With a powerful rechargeable battery and automatic charging when operating the scales from the AC mains supply these units can be used anywhere - on or off site - at any time.

Operation is easy: Either place a known quantity on the scale or enter a known unit weight. The scale will automatically display the total count of all parts on the pan as well as calculate and display the unit weight of the part. The sample quantity is freely selectable and because the bigger the sample the better the result, the software in the machine automatically updates and enhances its average piece weight data as components are loaded onto the pan during counting.

The TFC series are high capacity heavy industrial counting scales, ideal for use in production,packing and dispatch areas. They are free standing floor scales built to stand up to the treatment handed out on the factory floor.

The TFC range is fast and simple to use, and being battery powered can be used anywhere on the site. Battery life is typically 70 hours before recharging, so they can be used shift after shift even when away from an AC supply.

Displayed resolution is up to 1:15,000 and the internal counting resolution of 1:400,000 means that even the 300kg capacity model will count parts as small as 10g.

Operation is easy: Either place a known quantity on the scale or enter a known unit weight. The scale will automatically display the total count of all parts on the plate as well as calculate and display the unit weight of the part.
